Working Of PVC Edge Band Production Line
The working mechanism of a PVC edge band production line involves a series of carefully coordinated steps. First, raw PVC granules are fed into the hopper of the extruder. The granules are heated as they pass through the extrusion barrel, turning into a viscous, plasticized form. A screw mechanism inside the barrel ensures the even melting and mixing of the PVC material, preparing it for extrusion.
Once the PVC is in a molten state, it is forced through a die to shape it into a flat, continuous tape. This newly formed tape needs to be cooled and solidified, which is typically achieved through a series of cooling rollers or a water bath. The cooling process is crucial to ensure the tape maintains its shape and structural integrity. Following this, the tape may undergo surface treatment, such as printing or coating, to match the desired color and finish before being wound onto rolls.
